"Bike the Neck", an 18-plus mile pathway from Pawley's Island to Murrell's Inlet. Shaded in parts by lovely oaks and Spanish moss, this trail is rated easy for bikers, hikers and runner alike. Accessible from Nautical Milestone.
HUNTINGTON BEACH STATE PARK
Experience nature and history at Huntington Beach State Park, over 2500 miles of preserved scenery boasting over 300 species of birds, alligator watching, miles of beach to enjoy, and the historic Atalaya landmark.
BROOKGREEN GARDENS
Brookgreen Gardens, located just north of Nautical Milestone is a unique blend of art, history, and nature. It offers a selection of tours, exhibits and programs for all ages. Certainly a Must see.
HISTORIC GEORGETOWN
Spend a day in historic Georgetown, South Carolina's third oldest city. Shop local artisans, dine waterfront, visit museums, take tours, or simply explore. It's worth the visit.
GARDEN CITY PIER
Just north of Murrell's Inlet, Garden City Pier is consistently voted "best fishing pier" and is a family friendly pier known for karaoke and live music. While there take time to visit the arcade for games and prizes, Sam's Corner for the best hot dogs around, and Painter's Ice Cream for dessert.
MYRTLE BEACH
If you need a bit of action, Myrtle Beach is less than an hour north, filled with all sort of entertainment from great mini-golf to Broadway at the Beach and Myrtle Waves water park.
THE HAMMOCK SHOPS
Home of the original Pawley's Island hammock, this local favorite hangout offers unique shops, local cuisine, live entertainment, and highlights the charm and tradition of Pawley's Island.
MURRELL'S INLET MARSH WALK
Known for its nightlife, Murrell's Inlet Marsh Walk offers waterfront dining, nightly entertainment, seasonal events and year-round fun. It's a great place to charter boats and book tours during the day. Don't forget to check out Goat Island during the warmer months.
